Official National Weather Service forecasts for the Kenai Peninsula Borough — from Kenai, Soldotna and Nikiski down the Sterling to Ninilchik, Anchor Point and Homer on Kachemak Bay, and east over the divide to Cooper Landing, Moose Pass and Seward.

Seward on the east side takes about sixty-seven inches of precipitation a year straight off the Gulf; Kenai on the west, in the lee, takes nineteen — drier than most of the lower 48.
